A NECESSARY EMERGENCY WARNING

Dear Sirs, Luigi there (of course !). I am experiencing a very busy time, for several different reasons, that I feel necessaary to describe, needing your understanding:

1. November and December 09 have been months of very "robust" sales, thank you! 2. Then, already in early January 2010 I was working with some involuntary delay 3. from January the 9th to the 27th, I (and Pat) went abroad fo a "sea yourney", a very deserved vacation with our best friends, also divers, sure to may stay daily and easily connected to the Internet, what would have allowed me to may respond to all email messages, and to may instruct a my assistant in Roma for actually arranging all the necessary item's shipments. The Captain assured me ! 4. INSTEAD, for the 1st 11 days, NO connection at all, and on the remaining 6 days the rare connection was slow, short (a few minutes), and crazily expensive ! 5. Now, which is my situation ? That I have hundreds of messages to be answered, that I have several going complaints with PayPal and eBay, and that even if I am working (again !) 18 hours every day, 7/7, it will take weeks, or probably MONTHS before that I will be able to recoved the delay ! This is a sincere explanation. I need your kind understanding, please, and your patience on emailing me more that once, if I miss to respond to your 1st message. NOW, I try to ask your suggestions: the Luigi's cases workshop is very busy, with even too many orders (but, thank you, I am happy and proud for that !). However, seem to me that in the future I will be unable to may make and ship all the ordered items. What to do ? I am not a teenager, and it seem to me not so proper to TRY a production's increase, also because there is a shortage of fine leather's artisans, and even more of reliable ones ! Then, the sole possible solution is that I will renonce to the quickness (if not for the many ready cases, the ones "in stock"), and I am afraid that I will need to ask, for the special orders, almost 20 making days, or more ! Is that acceptable to you ? I need your opinion, and possible suggestions: Please, email them to: webmaster@leicatime.com - Grazie ! In fact, DESPITE my efforts in order to may offer most cases in stock, to make any
ordered cases not ready, actually the making time is only of about 15+ days !

Luigi's cases + straps for your Leica M, R, and other cameras
ATTENTION: Dear foreign (non-EU) customers, Italian/EU customs became every days more strict, and we are now bombarded with burocracy requests, papers, limits, and any possible BRAKES to a modern, normal, easy activity... As a result, it is now for me almost impossible to clear from our customs any returned items coming from abroad the EU, if not spending DAYS of time for burocracy demands, and even more because, also if the returned item is evidently a MY item, "made in Italy" and a "Luigi" product, sold by us, we are requested to PAY some disappointing (and high) custom's fees ! Please, remember that when you are placing a your (appreciated) order ! Of course, I will increase even more the attention and the care that any sold items, and any parcel obviously deserves, but, again, I ask you to remember that a RETURN is now really difficult, and/or unreasonably costly ! The worst problem is that I don't have absolutely the TIME to follow such burocratic matters, or I would be unable to make my WORK. As always, you may count on my integrity, and in an HONEST response to any possible problems... BUT, NO RETURNS from abroad the EU, please !... If in the future such problems will be solved, I will inform you... :-)

AND I AM EXPECTING (hoping for) A NEW CUSTOMS ATTITUDE, WITH

PLEASE, READ ATTENTIVELY BELOW THIS PICTURE...

My leathers are tanned with ecological, best vegetable oils, and for many years them doesn�t
need any special care, or maintenance. However, since some months ago I found (and use) a
very special German cream, that I may also sell at Euro 8 for a very small 50 ml/cc amount,
that seem VERY effective, either for cleaning, �nourishing�, and good maintenance.

The name is �Coxy shoe cream neutral 19�, and I am sure that, if available in your country,
you can pay less for it ! If instead you need it from me, I can ship it, but� Euro 8 each,
+ other Euro 13 for the slow Registered Air Mail shipping, or Euro 8 if shipped along with a
case or A strap, by same Post way, or probably ZERO if shipped by Fedex with other goods,
but that depends on the total parcel�s weight. In fact, the Coxy cream weigth is gr. 140 !

Now... a my new funny proposal, (which will be immediately copied, too ?)
I call this strange case for Leica M the "Rainbow" ! Euro 200 (NO strap)

the shown strap is braided, 8 strands, quite wide, and it is offered at Euro 90

I will make soon a less wide "Rainbow" strap, with 4 braided strands, at Euro 70

Dear visitors of this page(s), let me finally introduce "officially" my very special SS Bottom "flush" SCREW, the one that some buyers of my cases already knows... Sincerily, I am quite proud of this my idea ! Unlike Leica cases screws, and, as far as I know, unlike ALL cases screws, this special "Luigi's" screw still leaves the case bottom perfectly flat, without the uncomfortable protrusion on the bottom, that prevents the case (and the camera) to rest firmly even on the most flat surfaces ! His design permit to easily operate it with any thin coins, and in the lower part there is the useful TRIPOD hole, with the smaller thread, the one actually used by ALL makers.

It is quite costly, Eur 60 each (fitted), because: 1. every screw is hand made with a lathe - 2. the screw is all made in solid stainless steel, of which I am a fanatic user, being me a "boat's man"... - 3. to fit well it is a not easy job, it takes a lot of time and care, and there is always the risk to ruine a NEW case !

ATTENTION: the "Bottom SCREW" is not fitted in our cases by default !

buttons for Leica and other cameras, 16 mm diameter for your finger's comfort.
For Bessas I am making them smaller ! I know, several are offered around.
But, those two models are made in SOLID STAINLESS STEEL !

TWO models: "Concave" and "Convex" - Eur 12 each, choose yours !

Why I show them in this (cases) page ? Because I suggest
you to order it/them along with a case, avoiding to pay the shipping cost
for the soft release, alone ! I already placed one of them in EACH of my cameras... :-)

The softrelease screws into the remote shutter release mechanism inside the shutter button and provides a few advantages.

First, it physically raises the height of the shutter button, allowing you to use the joint or pad of your finger to fire the shutter rather than the tip. This results in a smoother action, more like squeezing a trigger than prodding a button, which reduces camera shake a little and is (to many people at least) more comfortable. Generally, the cable release socket also has a smoother action than the shutter button, so the softrelease turns it into something of a hair-trigger, which again helps reduce camera shake. The effect seems to vary a little camera-to-camera, but I find them essential items on my M6 and Canon P.

Most users experience a combined benefit of about a stop more usability in hand-held shooting: so if you find that you can normally manage sharp hand-held shots at only 1/30 a softie should allow you to go down to 1/15 and achieve the same results. Personally I find that, with the softie in place, I can manage decent shots of 1/4 second quite easily, and even 1/2 if I'm lucky (I must have steady hands).

The only downside is, as S. says, you do tend to end up with a few shots of the inside of your camera bag, unless you get into the habit of stashing the camera without winding on first. That said, film's cheap. (feedback from a friendly user...)

Now, also... Black Paint !

However, I can't guarantee the paint duration... (NOW quite strong !)
